The 2000 Barolo Bricco Rocche is fragrant with important aromas of roses

complexity

yet the overall impression is rather one of refinement

and cinnamon

Jacques Prieur, Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Size:6x750ml The 2000 Barolo Bricco Rocche(from young Chambertin vines planted in 1995). Once again, the nose is very ripe with its combination of wood, menthol, mocha and liqueur like aromas of plum and black cherry. There is reasonably good verve to the delicious middle weight flavors that terminate in a warm, grippy and slightly drying finish. This awkward effort is tough to read though I am concerned about the balance over the longer term.
